In order to sign up and join the free courses on offer you have to be aged 16 or over and you live, work or are registered with a GP with a BaNES postcode.
Any applicant must be aged 16 or over
We are commissioned for courses for people aged 16 and up. However, some local charities may offer courses for those under 16. Please explore the external links to find out more.
Yes, you are able to sign up to more than one course.
Most of the courses on offer run for 6-8 weeks and it would be beneficial to you if you are able to attend every session in order for you to get the most out of the course on offer. There is a minimum commitment required, ensure this is discussed with the course tutor before you commit.
In all instances the course tutors try to find venues that are suitable for all mobility requirements. There will be information provided regarding access and any other additional requirements as part of each course description. I am afraid transport to courses is not provided however some venues are close to bus routes which I hope would help get you there. Also there are options with community transport, Swan Transport can be contacted on
Yes, you are welcome to attend with a friend or carer. If your friend or carer intends to do the course with you, please advise them to also register a place.

Courses have a minimum of 6 and, usually, a maximum of 12 participants.
Yes, if you are a little late please do still join the course.
To book on our system you must provide a BaNES registered postcode. This can be your home address, GP surgery, or place of work within BaNES.
Yes. Please telephone the Wellbeing Course team on 0300 247 0050. Our office hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
If you did not sign up to our mailing list when creating your account its ok. You can sign up to our fortnightly mailing list by logging into your profile and ticking the mailing list checkbox.
